Kids Love Mother Earth Event - Follow up

I want to thank everyone who attended and made this event possible. This was the first time I ever read a book to children and it was allot of fun. Also, it was great seen the illustrations come alive by the wonderful City Year Group. Here are some pictures.

Kids Love Mother Earth Event- October 24, 2009


I am really excited to be participating in the first event with Kids Love Mother Earth, a wonderful non profit organization to educate children about the environment. Also, I am excited to announce that my first illustration book will be read at the event and ready for sale by the end of November, yippie! I will share with you the pictures of the event next week. Aqui comparto la gran alegria de mi primer evento como ilustradora para la organizacion "Kids Love Mother Earth". El libro no saldra a la venta hasta finales de noviembre pero en este evento leere el cuento escrito por Esther Sampedro y sera interpretado por un grupo de jovenes. La proxima semana compratire mas fotos del evento. KLME es una organizacion dedicada a educar a ninos a como cuidar la madre tierra, para mas informacion visita el site a www.klme.org.

Un "buchito" de Cafe



These days I have been making Cuban coffee and it reminds me so much of my grandparents who religiously drank the coffee at least three times a day... Although I don't drink it as an espresso, I love a good "cafe con leche"

Estos dias al hacer cafe, me he recordado mucho de mis abuelos, de como les encantaba tomar su cafecito por lo menos 3 veces al dia. Mi abuelita "Shorty" me enseno hacerlo para que se los hiciera, un poquito de cafe para hacer la espumita con la azucar ect.. la verdad no era mi fascinacion hacerlo y aunque no lo tomo como cafe espresso me encanta el cafe con leche y pan cubano! mmm que antojo!
